Distressed Children International (DCI), Inc is a US registered charitable non-profit organization. It was founded in 2005 to improve the socio-economic, educational, and health conditions of the underprivileged children in the United States and worldwide. Most of us take for granted the basic necessities of life: food, water, shelter, health, education and family. But there are millions of children in the world who do not have these essential necessities. DCI’s goal is to help provide these necessities for impoverished children throughout the world. At DCI, we have chosen sponsorship as the base program for helping children in developing countries because we have found that sponsorship is the most effective way to provide stable, long-term, ongoing services to the children and the families we serve. With your support, DCI intends to continue making a difference, even if it is just one child at a time.
